I was just thinking today about the word peace.  We know that in the Bible it refers to Shalom which means:

completeness, soundness, welfare, peace

1. completeness (in number)
2. safety, soundness (in body)
3. welfare, health, prosperity
4. peace, quiet, tranquillity, contentment
5. peace, friendship of human relationships with God especially in covenant relationship  

Matthew 5:9 in the Amp version of the Bible says, “Blessed (enjoying enviable happiness, spiritually prosperous – with life – joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the MAKERS AND MAINTAINERS OF PEACE, for they shall be called the sons of God!”

God wants us to be complete.  He wants us to be wanting and lacking no thing!   How awesome that is!  I challenge you this week to purpose to walk in the peace of God.  Be a “maker and maintainer of peace!”
